Firefox 3.0 recently was awarded the honor of being the piece of software with the most downloads in a single day by the Guiness Book of World Records. Watching the statistical trends here at RIAspot.com, it's interesting to note that ~60% of our visitors are using Firefox. Of those, ~70% are using Firefox 3.

Of course we can't extrapolate this site to the web in general, because we serve a very technically savvy demographic. However, it does seem like the iron grip of Microsoft on the browser market is loosening. Competition is a good thing right? It always pushes innovation.
